French trio PORTLAND released their latest single and music video “Before You” this morning.
“Before You” visually and auditorially exists on the cusp of two worlds – 70s disco and 80s electropop, dawn and dusk, land and ocean, love and heartbreak.
Up-and-coming Aussie electropop musician Stax Osset just released the music video for her new single “Geometric” – and it juxtaposes relaxing beats and Stax Osset’s soothing vocal loops with trippy kaleidoscopic images much like the “Gun” music video by CHVRCHES.
CHVRCHES released the music video for the single that put them on the map: “The Mother We Share.”
Just like their video for “Gun” and “Recover” – CHVRCHES features the band performing but with a touch of electric magical realism – with the main character of the video for “The Mother We Share” transforming into energy and the electronic ether and connecting with the whole city – almost like Tron.
Yesterday, Lovelife (stylized as LVLF) released their video for “Your New Beloved.”
It’s the epitome of a melodramatic video. Also, Lee, the singer, looks like a depressed Paul Dano in the video.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Lovelife. They’ve got a great electro-rock sound.
But in the music video there’s a woman in a body bag.
Which wouldn’t be too upsetting if you didn’t think too much of the fact that their song “Me After You” is about a murder-suicide…
